FORMAT
Team Competition: The COPi Cup is a 36-hole team competition consisting of the following formats. The team with the lowest 36-hole total will be the champion.
Round 1 – Two Best Balls of Four Net: Each player plays their own ball until holed. The total of the two low net best balls on each hole is the team’s score for the hole.
Round 2 – 1-2-3-4 Best Ball Net: Each player plays their own ball until holed. The team score will be calculated as follows:
- Holes 1 – 6: one net best ball of four
- Holes 7 – 12: two net best balls of four
- Holes 13 – 17: three net best balls of four
- Hole 18: four net best balls of four (each player’s score counts).
Professional Competition: In addition to being part of the team competition, all professionals will compete in a 36-hole stroke play competition. The professional with the lowest 36-hole gross total will be the champion.
PROCEDURE FOR TIES
- Team Competition: All ties will be broken using the USGA suggested method of matching scorecards (i.e. Holes 10 – 18, etc.) from the final round. The purse for the professional on the low team will be divided equally among those tied for first place.
- Professional Competition: The USGA suggested method of matching scorecards (i.e. Holes 10 – 18, etc.) from the final round will be used to determine who receives the trophy. The purse will be divided equally among those tied for first place.
HANDICAPS
- Professionals’ Playing Handicap will be 0.
- Amateurs will play to their March 1 Handicap Index, and the Playing Handicap will be 85% of their Course Handicap. This same percentage will apply to the net skins competition each round.

SCORECARDS & LIVE SCORING
Each team is responsible for entering the individual gross score for each player on each hole. If a player does not finish the hole, he or she records an “X” for that hole. Net scores, team totals, and the skins competition will be calculated by the tournament committee. Individual scores will be posted as “C” scores by the tournament committee at the conclusion of each round.
A representative from each team is encouraged to enter hole-by-hole scores into the Golf Genius mobile app. Within the app, players will be able to view live hole-by-hole results, including the skins competition! Live results will also be available at scgajunior.org/23copi. Please note that live scoring is not official, and the tournament scorecard must be returned for official scoring and results.
